Jokar captured gold medal in Aliev cup
Batyrov, Saidov and Mutalimov won gold medals in second day
Meisam Mostafa Jokar captured 74kg gold medal in freestyle tournament “Ali Aliev” in Makhachkala.
Jokar defeated Arsen Magomedov from Russia in final. Saeid Ahmadi failed to win 60 kg bronze medal as was defeated by Malkhaz Zarkua from Georgia.
The most surprising results came from 120kg where Marid Mutalimov from Kazakhstan defeated 2007 world championship finalist. Mutalimov won Bylal Makhov from Russia in semi final and defeated Alexis Rodrigues from Cuba ( 1-0, 0-2, 1-0).
In this weight, Eldar Kurtanidze from Georgia lost to Rodrigues but won bronze medal. Also Makhov didn’t wrestle against Fatih Cakiroglu from turkey in bronze medal match.
